I still have yet to get all the photos back, but I wanted to tell you about the wonderful Christmas party we hosted last week! In total, there were about 40 people in attendance to this company party - half of which were children. Sadly, we didn't get many pictures before and during this event. There attention to detail was key, and all in all this event can definitely be counted as a success!! This years theme was "Baby It's Cold Outside", so all decorations represented a warm, cozy, and classic Christmas.
Arriving guests were treated to the hot chocolate bar- complete with five different types of chocolate mix. Chocolate connoisseurs then topped off their drinks with the fixins: marshmallows, ground peppermint, chocolate flakes, cinnamon, whip cream, and pirouette cookies.
The venue was great, and we were able to put the kids in their own seperate room. While they watched Christmas movies, kids wrote their letters to Santa while we waited for all other guests to arrive.
Dinner was served - a soup and baked potato bar for the record books! Beautiful vegetable trays, crisp green salads, buttery breadsticks, and a superb cranberry punch. The kids had their very own, very special menu. Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, and their own special "soup" (macaroni and cheese with hot dogs).
During dinner, we had a very special guest. Santa Clause came to visit the children and collect the letters that they had written earlier! He also gave all good little girls and boys treat bags for eating all of their dinner.
While the adults exchanged white elephant gifts, the kids made gingerbread man oranments and filled out Christmas cards to send to the Childrens hospital.
At the conclusion of the night, anyone that had a little bit of room left grazed on peppermint cookies, peanut butter chocolate cupcakes, and cranberry almond white-chocolate cookies.
There was plenty for everyone to do, and even the little ones kept their hands busy all night so that the adults could visit and enjoy themselves. Everyone brought coats and gloves to donate to the SLC mission, to go along with the theme of the party.
We are very proud of our event, and will post all pictures once they become available!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!!
